Writing

I have been writing regularly since founding my first business in 2015. I began with a monthly email, of the newsletter fashion. Followed by handwritten introductions to each new book club selection.

Similar to my speaking, I leaven my words with a little energy, and occasionally write for other publications; Reasons to be Cheerful, Doughnut Economics Action Lab, Following the Footprints, Much Better Adventures. You know, the good folk.

Unwilling to keep playing the inbox attention game, the monthly newsletters spluttered out late 2024, early 2025. I miss the rhythm and connection, but not so much the breathy techno-optimism or rabble rousing that characterised the early years.

My public words are now mainly found on Substack, in my blog ‘The Fruitful Route’ a phrase I shamelessly stole from writer and historian David Gange’s excellent The Frayed Atlantic Edge:

The past is not full of dead things but unfinished business; germs of fruitful routes as yet untravelled.

And, yes, I am finally getting round to writing that book about the old stories and present times.

Do sign up to Substack to hear more about that, and my other irregular scribblings that so disappoint the algorithms.

Is it time?

If you and your team are ready to do the work required by our futures, let’s make a start.

I specialise in meeting people where they are, metaphorically speaking, so don’t worry if this agenda seems daunting or sprawling, we’ll find a good way in.
