Speaking

Speaking from the heart

“Tim has a remarkable ability to hold the room, even when he’s not there!”

Observed after watching a recorded keynote

I’m one of those strange people who actually enjoys public speaking.

But it’s only recently I realised the presence I bring to every speaking opportunity, real life or virtual.

Many folk have kindly commented on my energy. I finally learnt to listen to what they were saying with the gratitude it deserved, not the usual embarrassed brush off.

I’ve spoken at countless events and conferences, including South Yorkshire Citizens Assembly, Yorkshire Sustainability Festival, Green Finance Conference, South Yorkshire Citizens Assembly, and for a host of organisations such as Business Declares, Ecology Building Society, Hydro, Association of Sustainability Pracitioners and of course Doughnut Economics Action Lab.

Lately, my ‘speaker’ facade has dropped to allow a more vulnerable version to emerge. Largely because I made room to let myself feel something. You can’t turn that on or off like a tap.

Nor should you.

Energy, passion and vulnerability charge a room. I relish those moments when you can feel the fizz, a responsive audience charged in anticipation.

Is it time?

If you and your team are ready to do the work required by our futures, let’s make a start.

I specialise in meeting people where they are, metaphorically speaking, so don’t worry if this agenda seems daunting or sprawling, we’ll find a good way in.

Book some time for a quick 30 min chat.
